National Green Jobs Corps with MAX Employment may be your stepping stone to a job!
When you successfully complete this program, you can come away with skills in power tool use, equipment and machinery operation, a White Card, First Aid Certificate and a Certificate II in either Horticulture or Conservation Land Management all at no cost!
Welcome to National Green Jobs Corps (NGJC), an Australian Government program with an environmental focus. It offers work experience and accredited training for 17 – 24 year olds.
MAX Employment is excited to be partnering with NGJC to create opportunities for young people to gain training and experience in the emerging Green Industries.

How does it work?
Green projects run for 26 weeks in a range of areas including;
- Bush regeneration
- Beach and dune rehabilitation
- Wildlife and fish habitat protection
- Flora, fauna and endangered species land surveys and audits
- Community consultation and surveys relating to the environment
- Cultural heritage such as restoration of culturally significant buildings and sites
- Training and hands-on experience in Climate Change Related Industries, and
- Developing community information and education products.

Can anyone do it?
There are a few criteria that need to be met. Firstly there is the age restriction; you must be between 17-24 years old. A few other requirements are:
- Receiving Youth Allowance (or other), Newstart Allowance or Parenting Payment and not working more than 15 hours per week
- Disability Support Pension recipient with a work capacity of 15 hours per week or more
- 17-20 year old not in receipt of Income Support Payments and not working more than 15 hours per week or in full-time education.
What do you get?
- Upon completing a NGJC project with MAX Employment you will receive a FREE Certificate II in either Horticulture or Conservation Land Management.
- You will also gain a heap of practical experience for your resume including use of power tools, construction and maintenance of facilities, gardening and horticulture experience, teamwork and confidence building and so much more.
